- ·Identify and explain the structural members (the parts like beams, columns, frames) and materials used in your chosen structural system
- ·Explain how the system is designed to handle expected loads (like weight) and dynamic loads (forces from wind, heat, movement, or vibration)
- ·Discuss what structural integrity means and how it affects which materials and construction methods are chosen
- ·Use correct technical language, diagrams and symbols to describe how the system works
- ·For higher grades: show how the different parts work together, evaluate whether the system is fit for purpose, or suggest and justify improvements to make it stronger
