This standard asks you to explore how Māori ancestral knowledge about the environment was used to sustain life in the past, and how that knowledge can guide solutions for environmental issues today and in the future. You'll investigate traditional ecological practices and connect them to modern environmental challenges, showing how mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) helps us understand and care for the world around us.
