- ·Identify and explain two distinct forces that actually pushed or shaped the trend (these could be economic, political, social, technological, or cultural)
- ·Show how each force influenced the trend — explain the connection between the force and the change you're discussing
- ·Judge which force was more important and explain your reasoning with specific historical evidence
- ·Use relevant historical facts, examples, and reference historians' ideas where possible to support your argument
