You need to pick a historical event or place that matters to New Zealand and explain it properly. This means going beyond just telling what happened—you need to explain why it was important, back it up with evidence, and show how it affected New Zealand or New Zealanders. Your chosen event or place could be something that happened here in New Zealand, something internationally that involved New Zealanders, or an international event that shaped how New Zealand developed.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
