You need to have conversations in spoken Indonesian where you actively discuss different ideas and viewpoints, explaining why you think the way you do. The conversations should flow naturally (not be rehearsed word-for-word), work in different types of situations (casual chats, formal discussions, cultural settings), and show you can adapt your Indonesian to fit who you're talking to and what you're talking about.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Speak Indonesian fluently and spontaneously in real conversations, without relying on a script or extensive rehearsal
- ·Explore and evaluate different ideas and perspectives by asking questions, responding to others' views, and explaining your own position with reasons or evidence
- ·Use a range of language features, strategies, and interactive tools (like asking for clarification, agreeing/disagreeing, using fillers, interrupting appropriately) to keep the conversation going naturally
- ·Adapt your language choices, tone, and approach to fit different situations—from informal social chats to formal discussions—and use culturally appropriate Indonesian conventions
- ·Speak clearly so your meaning is unmistakable, with reasonable pronunciation, pace, and intonation that doesn't significantly hinder understanding
You interact clearly in Indonesian, actively participate in discussions about different ideas, explain your views, and manage conversations across various situations with some inconsistencies in pronunciation or fluency.
