This standard asks you to have a real conversation in spoken Korean where you can share information, talk about your ideas and opinions, and respond to what others say. You need to use actual Korean (not memorised scripts), talk about things happening now or things that happened in the past, and keep communicating even if you make some mistakes along the way.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Use relevant Korean vocabulary and sentence structures naturally in unrehearsed conversation
- ·Talk about personal matters, events, and experiences using present, past, and future tenses
- ·Respond to what your conversation partner says and keep the exchange going
- ·Ask questions, show you understand, and self-correct when needed
- ·Maintain overall communication despite some inconsistencies in pronunciation, word choice, or grammar
You interact in Korean to share and respond to information using appropriate language, can refer to events across different timeframes, and keep communicating despite some mistakes.
You use conversation strategies to support the exchange, show variety in your vocabulary and sentence types, and build on what your partner says, with communication not seriously harmed by errors.
