- ·Identify at least two different perspectives on a current or historical issue (such as a historical event, political issue, social matter, economic issue, or environmental concern) that is relevant to Māori
- ·Explain what causes these different perspectives to exist—the reasons why different groups see the issue differently
- ·Describe the actions or responses that have come from each of these different perspectives
- ·Show which perspective you think is valid and why (for Merit level and above)
- ·Analyse how the different actions and outcomes are directly linked to the differences in those perspectives (for Excellence level)
