This standard asks you to create a presentation of your design work that looks organised and professional, using visual design techniques to communicate your ideas clearly to other people. You need to show you can choose what to include, arrange it well on the page, and make it visually interesting and appropriate for your audience and the design brief you've been given.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Select and present the key features of your organised body of design work to suit your audience
- ·Apply visual communication techniques (like layout, composition, typography, colour, and imagery) to make your presentation clear and professional
- ·Ensure your layout and visual impact are appropriate to your design brief and the people you're presenting to
- ·Demonstrate accurate and precise execution of the techniques you've chosen
- ·Present your work (which must include your own student-generated designs) in a way that communicates your ideas convincingly
You present your design work in an organised way using some visual communication techniques that work for your audience and brief.
You deliberately select and use visual techniques (layout, composition, visual impact) in ways that are clearly suited to your context and audience.
