You need to show that you can apply real user experience (UX) design methods to create a digital product or service. This means learning why users need something, trying different design approaches based on their feedback, and explaining how your final design works for them. It's about designing with users in mind from the start, not just making something that looks good.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Explain what your digital product is for and what the actual users need from it
- ·Research and describe the user experience methods you'll use (like user research, testing, or design thinking)
- ·Create and test multiple design ideas using those UX methods, showing your thinking process
- ·Build a working model of your design and test it with real users or by explaining how it would work
- ·Explain the implications of your design choices—things like accessibility, privacy, cost, user safety, or how it affects different communities
You apply UX methods to create a design, test it, and explain why it works for the users you're designing for.
You use real user feedback and testing data to improve your design, and you evaluate whether your UX approach actually worked and addressed the important implications.
