This standard tests whether you can perform a scene from a published play or script and use drama techniques—your voice, body, movement, and use of space—to bring your character to life convincingly. You'll be assessed on how well you apply these techniques to create a believable performance that shows you understand the character, their relationships, and the situation they're in.

What you actually do
- ·Select and use vocal techniques (pitch, pace, pause, projection, volume, tone) to convey your character's intention and respond to other performers
- ·Use your body effectively through posture, gesture, facial expression, eye contact, and breath control to maintain focus and credibility
- ·Demonstrate controlled movement and stillness with awareness of energy, weight, direction and how you relate to other performers in the space
- ·Apply spatial awareness by positioning yourself meaningfully relative to other actors, using levels and groupings to enhance the storytelling
- ·Sustain a believable character and situation throughout the entire performance without breaking character or losing purpose
