You'll work with a group to create an original drama from scratch and then perform it live. Your drama needs to be designed with a clear creative intention — a specific message, theme or idea you want to get across. You'll show the whole creative thinking process through your script or outline, plus a statement explaining what you were aiming for and why.

What you actually do
- ·Create an original drama as a group, going through real creative processes like discussing ideas, experimenting with dramatic techniques, trying things out, choosing what works, and refining your work based on feedback
- ·Write a clear statement of intention explaining what message, style or idea your drama is exploring, plus decisions about staging
- ·Produce a script or detailed outline with a title, character list, the script itself, and notes about which dramatic elements and conventions you used and why
- ·Perform your completed drama live in front of an audience to show how well your devised work actually works
- ·Use dramatic elements (like role, time, place, mood, tension) and theatre conventions (like flashbacks, narration, still images, soundscapes) deliberately to support your creative intention
