You need to explain how a real New Zealand business responds to external challenges (like economic changes, supply chain issues, or environmental pressures) when it operates globally. You must describe their strategic response in terms of its size (scale), scope (range), and timeframe (how long it takes), and evaluate what impact this strategy has on the business and its goals.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Identify a clear strategic response to an external factor (e.g. economic uncertainty, supply chain disruption, environmental pressure) that the business has actually made
- ·Explain the strategy using at least two of these three terms correctly: size (scale of the response), scope (what areas/stakeholders it covers), and timeframe (short-term or long-term)
- ·Show how the strategy affects the business's operations and profitability, using specific examples from a real NZ-registered business operating globally
- ·Use correct business language (revenue, costs, profit, market share) and explain impacts on business goals
- ·Evaluate both the positive and negative aspects of the strategy and how it impacts different stakeholders
You explain a strategic response to an external factor with specific examples showing size, scope, or timeframe, and how it affects operations and profitability.
