You need to create a design for a digital product (like an app, website, or software tool) that solves a real problem for specific people. This means figuring out what your product is for and who will use it, coming up with several design ideas, picking the best one, and explaining why it works — including thinking about things like privacy, accessibility, and how users will actually interact with it.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Define what your digital product is supposed to do and who will actually use it
- ·Research and brainstorm several different design approaches or solutions
- ·Choose one design and explain why it's the right choice for your purpose and users
- ·Identify and describe relevant implications (such as privacy, accessibility, usability, legal issues, cultural considerations, or user needs)
- ·For Merit and Excellence: Show how you've used feedback to improve your design and explain how well it handles those implications
You develop a basic design that has a clear purpose, identified users, and you explain why you chose it and what implications matter to it.
