This standard is about managing a technology project from start to finish. You'll need to create a project schedule (a plan with timelines), then run your project according to that plan, keeping track of resources like time, materials, and help from others. The goal is to successfully complete a tech outcome—either a design or a prototype—by coordinating all the moving pieces.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Create a project schedule based on where and how your technology outcome will actually be made and used, learning from how other people (past students, industry pros, mentors) have managed similar projects
- ·Set up your schedule to manage your goals, planning tools, resources (time, materials, equipment, information, expert help), and review checkpoints all working together
- ·Run your project according to the schedule and coordinate all the different parts so you finish on time
- ·Check progress at key review points during the project and adjust your schedule if needed to make sure you actually complete the outcome
