You need to examine the real-world problems that come up when trying to feed people with specific dietary needs. This means looking at the challenges from three angles: the person's own situation, how it affects their relationships and social life, and the bigger picture of society and resources. You'll need to explain what these issues are and suggest ways to solve them.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Identify specific food-related challenges for a chosen group (such as pregnant people, young children, people with allergies, vegans, or those needing high-energy diets)
- ·Explain these issues from personal, interpersonal, and societal perspectives (for example: how it affects the individual, their family/social relationships, and society broadly)
- ·Discuss relevant issues such as cost, food availability, nutrition knowledge, preparation skills, food safety, taste, meal timing, and access to reliable information
- ·Propose health-enhancing strategies that address the identified issues
- ·Show how your suggested solutions connect back to the original problems
You explain the main issues around feeding someone with specific needs from personal, interpersonal, and societal angles, and suggest some strategies to help.
