You need to create a portfolio of design work that shows you understand how designers work and the rules/conventions they follow. Your work should show a clear thinking process where you develop ideas, try different approaches, and make deliberate choices about layout, type, imagery, and overall design decisions across multiple projects.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Create original imagery (drawings, photos, illustrations) rather than relying on found images or AI-generated content
- ·Work through a complete design process for each brief: start with small concept sketches, develop ideas, and finish with refined final outcomes
