You need to show you understand how biophysical principles (like energy systems, training methods, and sport psychology) are actually applied when you train for physical activity. This means explaining the "why" and "how" behind training decisions using examples from your own experience or observations, not just listing facts about training science.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Explain specific biophysical principles (such as overload, specificity, energy systems, or mental strategies like visualisation) that apply to training
- ·Show why these principles matter for improving performance or achieving training goals
- ·Use real examples from your own training, physical activity, or sports you've done
- ·Make connections between different principles and how they work together in a training programme
- ·Evaluate how well these principles are being applied and what effects they have on performance
You explain how and why at least one or two biophysical principles are used in training, supported by examples from your own experience.
You fully explain how and why biophysical principles are applied to training, and show the connections between different principles working together.
