Physical activity performance
Perform a physical activity in an applied setting
Study with Coach
Save your actual school result to count your credits.
This standard asks you to perform a physical skill in a real game or competition setting, showing you can actually do the activity when it counts. You need to demonstrate the key techniques and make good decisions during the performance so you can fully participate in the sport or activity. The focus is on how well you perform under real conditions, not just in practice.
What to do, grades and common mistakes
- ·Demonstrate the core technical skills of your chosen physical activity (like accurate passing in basketball, correct grip and swing in tennis, or proper technique in kayaking)
- ·Show control and smooth flow of movement when performing under pressure during an actual game, competition, or event
- ·Make smart tactical decisions and react appropriately to what's happening around you in the applied setting
- ·Perform consistently well throughout the game or competition to enable yourself to fully take part in the activity
- ·Choose a real applied setting such as a tournament game, competitive match, or organised event—not just a practice session
You perform the physical activity effectively in an applied setting and can fully participate, showing you've got the basic skills and understanding sorted.
